We are looking for more!
System/Setting: GURPS: Infinite Worlds
Concept:
Set in the Infinite Worlds setting basically as written. The characters are all members of ISWAT (Interworld Special Weapons And Tactics – the elite black-ops sectin of the Infinity Patrol); highly trained I-cops or outtimers recruited for their unique talents.
Each “episode” (adventure), which will generally comprise a cross-world mission, will be GMed by a different group-member or actor. At the beginning of each mission, potentially based on the mission briefing, each actor will choose which of his characters is probably best for the mission, or the superior officer may take that choice on his/her-self.
Character Creation:
Characters will be built on 250 points, with up to 125 points in disadvantages and quirks. All characters must take a Duty to ISWAT for -20 or -25 (if involuntary) points, and level 3 legal enforcement powers (15 points). The Duty does count against your disad limit. All characters must be capable. It is assumed they have all undergone at some training. Initial point value may be changed as the game progresses and we see what’s what.
Cinematic skills and advantages are allowed. Magic or Psi is potentially allowed as well, but we don’t want it to turn into a circus (maybe only 2 of your characters can have them? or we just trust ourselves not to be lame.. that seems to work for most things). Wildcard skills are out.
Each actor will make ~5 characters. If one is outed, it may be replaced, so it doesn’t hurt to have back-ups waiting. But the official pool should be around 5. Effort should be made for each character to be potentially useful to InfinityCorp for differing reasons. Each actor should have at least one combat-type character.
Characters must be okayed by the other actors, who will generally let things slide unless there is something truely objectionable.
Conventions:
Don’t mess up the world too much toward the beginning of the campaign. And don’t do so without conferring with the other actors
Encourage roleplaying rather than roll-playing, though that too has it’s place.
Silliness is ok, bowel-wrenching horror is fun, too. Ideally we want a variety of moods.
We will usually share our dirty secrets in between adventures. You’re free to keep secrets, but if you do, there’s nothing to say another GM won’t trounce your hidden twist.
We do not want completely contained missions. A continuing arc is a nice idea and we shall collaborate on it.
We all believe Centrum and Reich-5 should be important to the overall story.
