This aims to be a list of all the campaigns our ‘group’ has run. I haven’t yet decided on rules for inclusion. I mean it’s going to be for my webpage, so it would make sense to include any game I’ve been in. but it would be fun to have some others as well.
It is very much incomplete and a work in progress
My first forgotten realms game back in grade 7-8.
gm: damon
system: ad&d
genre: fantasy
PCs: a large number of rotating players: phil, colin, kevin, jamie, eric, chris, neil, adam
characters: they all changed very frequently, kevin stuck with a wemic and Reimer for a while, but the only long term one was Phil’s psionicist.
notes: every saturday(?) at phil’s house in Thamesford (except when for some fucked up reason we got permission to use one of the rooms at Landon library). the overall plot was about collecting various pieces of an ancient artifact from all over the forgotten realms. Coolest moment was destroying a goblin city. Jamie’s crazy magical sword was fun. The fact that no one ever got past first level was amazing. 100 xp per session? oooh yeah!
I started another game, at Jamie’s house, with the same players set in a world of my own creation, where my stinginess reached monumental proportions. I rolled stats for everyone, they were all unimpressive, Chris committed suicide by jumping in front of a flask of something. We never played again.
Harn 1: Kanday, grade 10
gm: damon,
system: GURPS
genre: low fantasy
PCs: Mike – a kuboran tribesman with about 5 points in skills, Brian -, Phil – a bardish character who barely avoided ritual face scarring-, Colin – a stuborn man-, James -
notes: travelled to a remote manor with a merchant and his ox named Rosa. drug-induced vision quests. some tomfoolery involving a bard. Evil son of manor-lord (Tamas?) has dealings with barbarians and thinks he’s a wizard “Wait you can’t kill him! he owes us money!”
Harn 2: Kaldor
gm: damon,
system: GURPS
genre: low fantasy
PCs: Mike – andrelabus the inventor/sir rolorick, Brian – brogan wanch (the one-eyed don quixote hating fencer), Phil – chritz bleggart (who went insane and stole the ring)/taboro shitsu, Colin – Kith Kanon (a right honorable fellow), James – Vori Unos (son of a noble house that was disgraced, grown up in the woods)
notes: This game began with the vile murder of a young child by a dark hearted villian. The group then guarded a caravan, where the party lost andrelabus and bleggart, and picked up Unos. Sir Rolorick arrived just in time to save the party’s bacon in Tashal wich was the caravan’s destination. The battle aginst shadowy conpsiracy of bandits and nobles occupied much of this tale (hmm sound familiar?), which culminated in battle that ended with Sir. Rolorick being bathed in glory. Brogan Wanch also cut of someone’s hand and had his very own farm-whore. Then Taboro tried to brainwash a prisoner by blindfolding him and walking him around in circles, or something.
Fading Suns
gm: Colin
system: D&D 3
genre: science fiction
PCs: damon the priest; brian had an awesome name but i don’t remember what, and lots of hair and arms;
Babylon 5!!
gm: Damon
system: Whitewolf
genre: science-fiction
PCs: Mike – starfury pilot who was a mage, James – a smuggler and then later a high ranking officer , Brian – a scientist who was a cyberwerewolf, Colin and Phil were not in this game; i think they would have probably not appreciated it!
notes: Fridays at Mike’s. It was set on Mars in a Babylon 5 like universe. My Gming style was to not plan at all. This game was crazy, Mike killed Bester. There was some sort of weird alien in a box or something.. ripped off of Greals from Deus-Ex. Brian developed a virus of some kind also with the intent of killing Bester, but shooting him in the face proved more effective.
The Dreamers
gm: Damon
system: GURPS
genre: paranormal, genre-hopping
PCs: Diego the spanish matador; french fashion designer; Toronto garbage man with eidetic memory; Aeron Dugal the Los Angelan hitman; Swedish young female thief, ostensibly the owner of a flower shoppe
notes: the game that was 2 years in the making, a good long while in the playing, but fell apart (my fault) before the tip of the iceberg was even stretched. one of my big regrets because it really could have been so cool. The concept was that each character was a mundane sort of person from anywhere in the world and they for some odd reason started having dreams which they were all in.
Super’s Game
gm: Brian
system: GURPS
genre: Superheros
PCs: The Solution:
