Songs of the Day/Hour/Week/Whenever/Thing

Every now and then a song really hits home and I feel like sharing it with you all. You have my personal guarantee that all these songs are pretty awesome (by my standards, of course).

The mp3s are kept up for a while, but routinetly pruned, so if the link ain't working that's why. The italicized bits are lyrics and the bit below that is a sort of freeform prose experiment inspired by the song.
